From Page to Stage - Bringing a Children's Book to Life on Stage

I want to thank a talented group of women who worked together to bring Lalka's messages of compassion, tolerance, and acceptance of each other to life on stage at the Florida State Association of Pen Women Conference.

A children's book comes to life on stage during Children's Book Week.

Thanks, Genevieve Fortner, for the beautiful choreography and the passion in your dance. Genevieve danced to the outstanding music of Sheila Firestone and Anne Ferbrache. Barbara Dunham shared her powerful collage based on the book. And Keren Royz's stunning book illustrations helped all the talented women create this stage presentation of The Crystal Beads, Lalka's Journey. And what's even better is that this all happened during Children's Book Week!

My thanks to The Florida State Association of Pen Women for the opportunity to present "From Page To Stage" to a statewide audience of Pen Women.
