My Interviews
WSRE TV

It was a pleasure spending time with Jeff Weeks, host of a PBS television program. We discussed my book and how important its themes of empathy, compassion, and understanding are in today's world. We also discussed my book's illustrator, Katya Royz, and her grandfather, Efim Royz, a Holocaust survivor. I was so touched when Katya told me about her grandfather's story that I included him in the Afterword of my book.

The Relatable Voice
My coauthor, Steve, and I were featured in the September edition of The Relatable Voices Magazine, where we had the chance to talk about our novel All the Broken Angels and the collaborative journey behind it.
It was such a joy to reflect on the process, the inspiration, and the heart behind the story. If you're curious about the book—or just love hearing how creative partnerships come to life—check out the interview! (pgs. 10-12)
You can read the magazine on Facebook or visit The Relatable Voice Magazine's website.

Uncaged Magazine - Article & Book Chapter
What fun it is to have a book chapter included in an online magazine! Steve and I picked a fun chapter about Cate parents coming to visit her in her first apartment in Hell's Kitchen, New York. You'll enjoy reading it.

Heather Weidner - Writer Wednesday

My thanks to Heather Weidner for this interview. I had such fun answering these questions about summer experiences, including summer traditions when growing up, best and worst summer jobs, hitchhiking on the Jersey Shore during my hippie days (thank goodness my parents never found out), and my most embarrassing summer experience. You can read about these on the link below. Thanks again, Heather!

Musings of an Author

The 1960s were a time of upheaval, but also a period of liberation and shifting cultural norms. The world was transforming—music, fashion, civil rights, feminism, the dawn of the LGBTQ+ movement—all unfolding against the backdrop of the Vietnam War.
You can read how my co-author and Ire constructed this period in history and brought it back to life in the interview with Peni Renner, in her blog, Musings of an Author, June 2025.

Portabello Book Blog

This was a fun interview where I got to answer quickfire questions about my book, All the Broken Angels. Here's the answer I gave that asked why folks should read the book:
"We all face challenges in our lives, and the cast of characters and the book’s universal themes, including family, love, forgiveness, loss, resilience, and personal growth, are as relevant today as they were in the past. The messages and lessons of the book are uplifting and motivating for us all."
