Celebrating Children's Book Week

The Crystal Beads, Lalka's Journey, celebrates Children's Book Week with a story of love, compassion, and caring for each other--despite our differences.

The Crystal Beads, Lalka's Journey celebrates Children's Book Week

We are at a time in history when this message is important to hear, not only for children but for adults as well. I designed this book to be read by all ages. There is a study guide for children and another for adults. Take time to share the book and the questions with each other and discuss what Sister Terese means when she says:

"I trust that the power that joins us is greater than anything that might divide us."

You can read more about The Crystal Beads, Lalka's Journey under the book tab.

What is Children's Book Week?

Two weeks per year are designed for Children's Book Week. This year, the celebrations occur from May 6-12 and November 4-10.

Children's Book Week is 105 years old this year! Established in 1919, Children’s Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. Every year, young people across the country participate by attending events at schools, libraries, and bookstores, celebrating at home, and engaging with book creators online and in person.

I've attached a link to a list of resources so you can celebrate Children's Book Week with the young ones in your life. Enjoy! https://everychildareader.net/cbw/celebrate-2024/
